| This Buttondown shirt features our `Ainako print in Azure, Black and Sable.
Endless fields of sugar cane will always be etched into the minds of those who grew up in the sugar age because they made up our environment and fostered the lives of many people. `Ainako literally translates to "The lands of sugar". This design was first offered on a teeshirt for the people of Kea`au in 2001 as a reminder that the sweetness of the sugar cane - now gone - still lingers in the land.
Inspired by the ivy-league shirts of the early 1900s, the fabric designs are pure Hawai`i, and the look is pleasingly fresh. The Buttondown is an open front, tapered shirt with a full length placket. Coconut buttons are featured on the stand-up, button-down collar and on the front placket. Fabric is machine-washable 100% cotton broadcloth. Tuck it in or leave it out over the trousers for a more casual look. Either way, it's the perfect touch of crisp aloha! |
